1. What are the system requirements for running DumpMedia Video Converter?

Windows: Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP (SP2 or later)

Mac: Mac OS X 10.5 or above (Mac OS Sierra)

2. What's the difference between the trial version and the registered version of the program?

The trial version and registered version are the same product and have the same function, except for the limitation below:

For the video or audio files more than 5 minutes, you could only convert 5 minutes of it.
For the video or audio files less than 5 minutes, you could only convert half of it.
You couldn't enable Intel App Acceleration.

For the registered, all limitations will be removed.

3. I purchased the software and I received the code by email. But how to register it?

Find the "key" icon at the upper right corner. In the pop-up windows, enter your email address and registration code to register the program.

4. I purchased the software but I didn't receive the code by email.

Normally, you will receive the registration code via e-mail within 30 minutes after the order is complete. You can check your spam email folder in case the code has been recognized as spam email.

If you haven't received your activation code in 24 hours, please contact us via support@dumpmeida.com with your order number.

5. I am advised that the registration code is invalid and gave me the Error Code 4104. How to fix that?

When you use one license in more than one PC, it will pop up Error 4104, sometimes reinstalling your PC might cause it as well.

Note, one activation code can only register on one PC.

If you decide to move your activation code to a new device, please contact us via support@dumpmeida.com, we will help you reset your activation code.

6. Why does the program fail to load files?

There may be various reasons causing this. Please check the following first:

Make sure the file format is supported.
Make sure the file format is supported.
Make sure the file is playable and not damaged.

If all above can't solve your problem, please email us support@dumpmeida.com, with a copy of the files that failed to be loaded.

7. How to speed up video/audio conversion?

There are many factors that can affect the speed of conversion:

The length and the size of the source file.

Settings for output files, such as resolution and video bitrate.

Computer configuration

Here are some tips that can help to speed up the conversion:

Open the program and go to "Preference" windows. Then, enable NVIDIA GPU Acceleration, enable Intel App Acceleration and Enable AMD APP Acceleration.
Don't run other programs on the computer while converting.
The higher parameter of resolution, frame rate the source video has, the longer it takes to convert it. If you want to speed up the conversion, you can choose or customize the Minimum parameters of Resolution and Video Bitrate, but the quality of your video may be affected.

8. May I add a .srt subtitle file into the output video by your program?

Yes, you can. Recently, DumpMedia Video Converter updates to support external audio track/multi-audio tracks and add external subtitle to edit video functionally. Just click the "+" icon as shown below and then you can load the desired subtitles from your computer.

9. Which output format is the best to get the smaller size with better quality?

We recommend MP4 format, normally it is the most balanced and stable format.

10. I have a long video, and I'd like to know its detailed properties. Can this program help me?

The video's original length would be directly shown on the file list. But if you want to know more video detail info, you need to right-click the file in the file list and then click the "Properties" button. Now, the selected file properties would be shown to you. You can also export the property information.

11. Is it possible to save the profile (format) with the modified settings as a new one for use next time?

Yes, it can be done by the "Save As" button. In the "Profile Settings" windows, you can adjust video and audio settings. After you finish the modifications, please click this button and finish other jobs following the instructions. After the profile is created, you can delete or rename it as you like.
